Explore
Step outside and the moor opens up before you. Ancient, wild, and quietly extraordinary.
Your own enclosed world
The garden at Little Beside is fully enclosed and completely private. Old stone walls, lanterns hung in the trees, and the kind of stillness you only get far from everything. The garden room — lit by candles and warm light — is yours to retreat into at any hour.
In summer, breakfast outside. In winter, wrap up and watch the stars. The garden is beautiful in every season.
Soak beneath the stars
One of the most special things about Little Beside is the outdoor bath — a deep, roll-top tub tucked into the garden, filled with hot water, and completely open to the night sky. On a clear evening, the stars above Bodmin Moor are extraordinary.
Light a candle, pour a glass, and let the heat of the water do what Cornwall does best.
Long evenings by the fire
Logs are provided and the fire pit is ready to use year-round. Pull up a chair, get the fire going, and settle in for the evening. There is genuinely nowhere else you need to be.
It’s the kind of evening you’ll remember for a long time — flickering light, warm hands, the moor stretching out in the dark beyond the garden wall.
St. Breward, Bodmin Moor
Little Beside sits on the edge of St. Breward, a quiet granite village on the northern flank of Bodmin Moor. The moor is on your doorstep — ancient tors, open skies, and paths that go on for miles. This is one of the darkest sky areas in Cornwall, making it exceptional for stargazing.
Padstow, Wadebridge, and the north Cornish coast are all within easy reach for days out.
